1. "Two People Live Inside Me"
A client once told me:
"Every time I make a decision, it feels like two people live in me. One pushes me forward, one pulls me back. Which one is actually me?"
She's 34, an HR director, extremely rational. But every private decision tore her apart.
She thought she was going insane.
She wasn't. She just hadn't read her own chart.
In Zi Wei Dou Shu (Purple Star Astrology), your chart is a photograph of the sky at the moment you were born — 12 houses, 12 roles. Two of them face each other across the chart: the Life Palace (Ming Gong) and the Travel Palace (Qian Yi Gong).
Their relationship is the shape of your intuition-versus-logic fight.
2. Three Wrong Readings (I Used to Get These Wrong Too)
Wrong A: "Travel Palace = your affairs."
(Yes, someone actually asked me this. Not making it up.)
Wrong B: "Strong Travel Palace = you should travel more."
No. It's about how the outside world shapes you.
Wrong C: "It's destiny. Nothing changes."
Then you've misread the word "chart."
One sentence:
Zi Wei Dou Shu is a photograph of the sky at your birth — the sky is fixed; how you stand in it is not.
• Life Palace = you seen from the inside = intuition.
• Travel Palace = you reflected back from the outside = logic.
Same person. Two lenses.
The conflict starts because you spent 20 years only looking at the Life Palace photograph. At 30, in your first big meeting, the Travel Palace photograph suddenly develops — and the "you" others see is two people away from the "you" you thought you were.
You didn't split. You just saw yourself in 3D for the first time.
