The World Keeps Moving — Going Anywhere Means Leaving Somewhere
I-Ching has another name — Book of Changes.
This book is 3000 years old. Its core idea — the world keeps changing.
Every "big life choice" you face is just change landing on you at a specific moment.

Most people think a big life choice means "pick the better of two good options." It doesn't.
Big choices are mostly about "leaving somewhere."
Change jobs — leave your current company. Change cities — leave a familiar circle. Change relationships — leave an old pattern.
You struggle not because the options are hard.
You struggle because you can't let go of the position you've grown used to.
In the 64 hexagrams there's one called Li (离).
Li means both attachment and departure.
Whatever you want to attach to, you must first leave where you are now.
Sounds harsh. It's fact.
Any "going somewhere" choice starts with "leaving somewhere."
Wang Yangming, exiled to Guizhou Longchang, faced three options — accept fate, tough it out, give up.
In a cave he realized "mind is principle" — the question isn't "what should I do," it's "what kind of person am I."
Bezos, starting Amazon, used the "regret minimization framework" — at 80, he wouldn't regret missing stability, he'd regret not trying.
One ancient, one modern. Different paths. Same logic — options don't decide people; people decide options.
And the way people decide options is whether they're willing to leave where they are now.
Wang Yangming was willing to leave the position "I'm a wronged official," and Neo-Confucian mind theory was born.
Bezos was willing to leave Wall Street's comfortable position, and Amazon was born.
The world keeps moving.
To go anywhere, you must leave where you are now.
So a big life choice isn't "picking right."
It's being willing to leave.
Seeing clearly what you're willing to leave matters a hundred times more than seeing which option looks better.
