What Is I-Ching? The Small Things in Your Space That Shape Your Mood Every Day Without You Noticing
A client moved into a new apartment last year. Expensive minimalist Nordic design. Got 200+ likes on social media.
Six months later: "I come home more tired than after work."
Visited. 15 minutes in, three things—
Living room floor-to-ceiling windows facing 3 PM western sun. No shading.
A metal-framed abstract painting above the bed, sharp corners pointing down.
Not a single plant in the whole apartment.
I said: "Your home isn't bad feng shui. It's too clean."

Most people think feng shui is superstition. It looks like one. It isn't.
Feng shui is about the small things in your space that you don't notice but that keep talking to your nervous system.
Light angle, material texture, plant state, air flow—each one is in constant dialogue with your body.
You don't notice. Your body keeps receiving.
Her three problems translated:
Western sun 15+ minutes—eyes and skin get excess warm light, sympathetic nervous system stays activated. Home should be rest mode, but your body's still working.
Metal sharp corners pointing down—your subconscious keeps processing "danger signals." You think you don't care about the painting. Your amygdala disagrees.
No plants—your eyes have no resting point. Human eyes evolved millions of years expecting green in the environment. No green, eyes stay in scanning mode—exhausting.
(A confession) My Beijing studio had the same problem. First year—cement walls, iron shelves, one industrial lamp. Felt something was off for three months. Added a fiddle leaf fig. Problem gone.
Not magic. Your eyes finally had somewhere to land.
Feng shui: not mysticism, but the daily conversation between your body and your space.
Roger Ulrich's 1984 Science paper found patients with tree views recovered 8.5 days faster than those facing brick walls. No drug difference. Just a tree.
Feng shui said this 3,000 years ago. Now there are papers. Principle unchanged.
I don't move furniture or sell objects. I help you find the invisible signals in your space arguing with your body, then quiet them with minimal changes.
Book a plant feng shui consultation—40 minutes, starting from your living room.
