The "Wealth Palace" in Your Chart Doesn't Measure How Much You Earn

When people hear Zi Wei Dou Shu, they ask: "Can I get rich?"

Wrong question. Not that Zi Wei can't read wealth—it can. But what it reads isn't "how much you earn" but the relationship pattern between you and money.

Think of people around you. Some earn a lot but always feel it's not enough. Worth millions, still anxious. Others earn modestly but always seem to have just enough, living with ease.

The difference isn't income. It's how you perceive your financial situation. Whether someone is driven by security or scarcity in finance determines what financial decisions they make.

Zi Wei has a palace called "Wealth Palace." It doesn't describe your bank balance—it describes your habitual thinking patterns around financial decisions.

Some have strong stars there—bold, decisive investors, but prone to impulsive spending. Others have gentle stars—slow earners but good savers, yet prone to over-caution and missed opportunities.

I once taught a student running a restaurant chain. His Wealth Palace star was extremely strong—classic big-swing type. Pre-pandemic, this DNA drove him to rapidly expand, opening eight locations. But when the pandemic hit, his first instinct wasn't to pull back—it was to double down. His Wealth Palace drove him to "seize every opportunity." Result: all eight locations bled cash simultaneously.

Later he learned to read his own chart and realized his natural risk perception was biased low. So he found a financial partner—now all financial decisions require two signatures. A year later, profit margins were higher than during the expansion phase.

Back to the ACCIM report: SME lending rate only 50.9%, micro-enterprises just 33.3%.

On the surface this is a financing problem. But from Zi Wei's angle, Wen Laoshi sees another layer: most business owners can't see their real financial situation clearly.

Not a lack of information—GDP data is everywhere. It's not seeing yourself. Feeling like retreating while telling yourself "the environment is great, should expand." Or having good opportunities but too afraid to move.

Most decision failures aren't from insufficient information but from not seeing yourself clearly. Yin-yang, five elements, eight trigrams form a foundational language for reading people, events, and environments. You'll develop "decision clarity"—seeing truth in chaos, staying calm amid anxiety.
